Welcome to Katesvoice

Like most, I can't believe it's January 2008. The weather outside is cold, by Southern California standards. Today I listened to jazz and went to the post office. I took my daughter to the store to spend her Christmas cash...that was burning a hole in her pocket. It was an uneventful day, except that I officially started this blog. Every entry will have something about voices in it. I will leave a tip about using your voice, give voice to ideas, or simply ramble about the voices in my head...or someone else's. I'll answer questions, if there are any, from comments. Please join me.

Comments about Kate's work

Working with Kate proved to me that the sound of my voice should not be taken for granted or ignored. She helped me see that “When your intention, your message, and your voice are all clear, others cannot help but listen.” Jeff Rodek, Executive Chairman, Hyperion Solutions Corporation

I was not even aware of the subtleties of this aspect of communication until I read the book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to be an effective communicator. And, who does not? Anil Puri, Dean, College of Business and Economics, California State

University
, Fullerton

Your session was excellent and has already helped me, and I thought I was hot stuff because I've done a fair amount of public speaking and broadcast work. Again thank you for the knowledge you shared with us. Lanny Larson, Editor, Office of University Communications, California State University, Fresno
